Tubs was just pandering to his fanbase with that shite. They beat us 6 in a row, they enjoyed the moment and who could blame them?

I remember Tubs comments right before the Iron Bowl in '08 - his AU Tigers were hurting pretty damn bad and had already lost to LSU/Vandy/Arky/WVirg/OleMiss/UGA and he said he was walking down the sidewalk, saw a playing card laying on the ground, he bent over to pick it up and the card was a 7 of spades. Tubs thought that was a good omen for beating Bama (undefeated at the time) for the 7th straight time.

Bama beat AU 36-0 and unbeknownst to Tommy - that was the last game he ever coached at AU. AU gave him the ax and +$5million the next week.
