Sobering facts

-We're 2-7 in our last 9 games.
- 1-7 vs our last 8 BCS opponents
-We haven't beat an SEC team with a winning record since 2010.
-Our recruiting class is ranked last in the West.
-We have an offensive coach who's only saving grace this year has been the defense and our giant arse QB who probably should have played last year.

Most sobering fact...we could have replaced Mullen with troys offensive coordinator last night and won.

spot on. that's the thing that kills me...in college football you don't need 5 star talent to put up points and yards, you just need innovation and a good system. we don't have either. everyone in the got damn stadium knew we were going to run dak up the middle 2/3 downs on those final few drives.

I would be happy with just winning seven or eight games a year and having a fun offense to watch. Really all I ask for out of football. I do not expect to overtake lsu or bama.

Being competitive with what we can recruit isn't too much to ask. Having the talent we do and looking fricking retarded is the problem here.

Muffin will be on the hot seat after this year, and we will part ways at the end of next football season. Isn't that pretty much the consensus?

it's kind of like that divorce where you catch your wife boning javier the pool boy but you stay married until your kid turns 18 or in our case 2014.

Agree. This is the problem with the MSU fanbase/boosters:
I do want to take over lsu and bama and every other fan should too. Low-Medium expectations is what keeps us pissed off. Nobody should be happy until we have double digit win seasons. The only way muffin gets canned or bought out at the end of this or next year is if he loses to OM and even though the game is in Starkville this year, that ain't gonna happen.

If we had low expectations no one would be pissed off. Sorry for wanting football to be entertaining. I would be fine with a fun to watch offense and 7 or 8 wins a season plus a chance to go see a bowl game.
If we were to string that together several years in a row...then yeah maybe I would start wanting more. I would be pretty pleased with that for now though.
