Yeah, I think the best play for Mizzou in terms of next coach, whoever it is, is go find a guy who has hella recruiting ties in SEC territory and knows how to close on good prospects. Whether he's a good head coach, frankly I'm not as worried about because right now its about beefing up the talent level and more importantly establishing a real recruiting presence in SEC states. Once we have that, then if the guy in charge turns out to suck on game days, you bring in a really good game day/X&O guy to take the next step, but only *after* you've loaded the program up with some legitimate recruiting hauls and established name for recruiting purposes in SEC territory. A Kentucky fan I'm sure would say "yes and that's exactly what we are doing with Stoops" and with all due respect to my Sensei who is the OP, I can't really argue with that approach.

Pinkel and his staff are currently saying "winning takes care of everything" in recruiting, and that if Mizzou gets back to winning this year the recruits will come. Kentucky, Tennessee and Ole Miss are all exposing that that's horseshite, winning has NOTHING to do with recruiting. Kentucky and Tennessee sucked donkey balls last year and Ole Miss sucked donkey balls the year before that, and all of those programs via new coaches are cleaning up 5 star and 4 star players as if they were Bama. That's the part the Pinkel regime fails to understand.
