I think UGA's O will give their D time to get up to speed, just not in the 1st game.
38-34 Clemson
As far as being overrated, maybe so, but Louisville is in the Top 10, too.

20 spots behind them in total defense. WOW!
I have never understood why people like to use total defense as a measure of how good a team is. I would think scoring defense would mean more. I mean if you run up 450 yards on me but only get FGs all day then I still did my job as a defense.
The other funny think is even using the total defense rankings the difference between Clemson at 63 and UGA at 31 is only about 39 yards a game.
I love stats but their are occasions where stats are useless.

Occasions when they show how shitty Clemson's defense is?

Who is #22 and will he be picking up blitzes for the Auburn game?

Brendan Douglas, freshman Running back. And no

The whole diatribe leading up to this game is eerily similar to the scuttlebutt that revolved around UGA's early season trip to Mizzou last year...
Mizzou is the most ready to win against the SEC right now.
Mizzou's offense will give UGA's defense fits.
Mizzou is much improved on D.
The Defense in Athens just isn't fast enough or talented enough to play with Mizzou.
Copy and Paste any article you like from the matchup last September, and insert Clemson's name and you have an Associated Press ready article for Saturday.

Apparently the Douglas kid is good though

Clemson will get the win. I think they jump out early like 14-0 or even 21-0. That defense was young last season, and got better as the year went on. Venables will have them ready to play.
Georgia on the other hand is going to have fits with that Clemson offense. I think this will be similar to the Bama vs A&M game. Clemson jumps out early and holds on for the win, 38-34
If Clemson wins the game this is probably the most likely scenario IMO. Ever since Morris has arrived at Clemson, his offense has set the damn world on fire each year in the first real game of the season (FSU). If anything, he almost blows his wad in those games as he throws the whole fvcking sink at them.
I have little doubt Clemson is going to come out and execute exceptionally well. UGA has typically struggled some early in the season so if Clemson gets up quick I could see UGA forcing things some and getting down even more.
However, once they return to their game and commit to the run they'll be like a runaway train on the comeback and then it'll be one helluva finish.

I did some googling and found the 2012 UGA/Mizzou pregame prediction thread from the SECR, and one of the first comments was from you:

I have no excuses for the way the team played against Clemson, but any rational fan will admit LSU's defense played well enough to win the game. LSU held Clemson to 25 points, an offense that averaged 41 points per game last year, and that includes the outlier of 25 points against LSU.
Our offense has been so inept over the past few seasons it's almost laughable. They have shown flashes, but overall have lost LSU more games then they've won. Ironically, LSU's defense let them down against Alabama last year and the offense essentially carried the team.
I see no reason why Georgia can't hold Clemson's offense to less than 30 pts and no reason why they couldnt score more than 30. I think it will be a good game, but think UGA wins.
ETA: Interestingly enough Clemson's lowest point totals were against SEC teams: Auburn 26, USCe 27, and LSU 25.

Lol at cocky moronic UGA fans who think playing Clemson in Death Valley at Saturday night is akin to traveling to fvcking Mizzouri.

I could see how clemson is favored to win. They are home and they score a lot of pts. However, I just think GA's backfield is going to be too much to overcome eating the clock and keeping clemsons offense off the field.

Did he say it was the same? No, he said the things being said about this game are similar.
-big, early test for UGA on the road
-home crowd at night that will be jacked
-unique meeting (missou new to SEC, clemson an old but put on hold rivalry)
-UGA facing a dangerous offense
etc. And he's right. Nobody is saying clemson is on the same level football wise as missouri.
