Really hoping UGA will shut Clemson and ESPN up. this is getting ridiculous.

No. 5 Georgia at No. 8 Clemson, 8 p.m., ABC. #UGAvsCLEM. The game of the year, or at least the game of the week, has finally arrived after months and months of buildup. We finally get to see whether the Tigers can continue the momentum they established in the bowl win over LSU last season. Georgia has a veteran quarterback and the best rushing duo in the country. How Clemson handles Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall is the biggest key for an improving defense. But this is why Clemson wins the game: Tajh Boyd, Sammy Watkins and a veteran offensive line have the upper hand over a defense that only returns three starters, including just one up front.

AA picks: Clemson 35, Georgia 31

HD picks: Clemson 38, Georgia 35

After watching Boyd get hit in the mouth for 4 quarters and still be able the lead a 4th quarter comeback, I can see why people are picking Clemson.

Really? Clemson is very good and is at home. The line is almost a pickem. Clemson is a very reasonable pick.

agreed...this (hopefully feigned) outrage when someone doesn't pick an sec team is getting tiresome.

Both of the chicks that wrote this are ESPN's ACC bloggers, this shouldn't be surprising.

Clemson will get the win. I think they jump out early like 14-0 or even 21-0. That defense was young last season, and got better as the year went on. Venables will have them ready to play.

Georgia on the other hand is going to have fits with that Clemson offense. I think this will be similar to the Bama vs A&M game. Clemson jumps out early and holds on for the win. 38-34

I didnt mean it as holy shite UGA should be favored by 3208432083. Im saying that for the SEC we could see a flood of Clemson fans and the "SEC is overrated" coming from all directions. Would be much better if UGA won this game for all parties involved.

I do understand the LSU fans defending Clemson though...

Hope the Bulldogs can do what the Corndogs couldn't.

You act like their defense is awesome. They should be just as worried about our offense as we are of theirs. Our offense is more proven and more balanced at this time, that's an inarguable fact.

Both defenses have questions. I don't see any way at all we are ever down by 21 points. Or up 21 for that matter.

Well, if LSU had taken care of business in their bowl game, most would be picking UGA.

Thanks, Bayou Bengals.

And I'm picking Clemson in a tight one.

i think clemson takes this one. Georgia lost alot on defense and clemson showed something in the bowl game. (true, it LSU's offense had a pulse, it may have been different) GA will get better as the season progresses and those young uns get more pt but i will say clemson by 4

For thinking Clemson is THAT good. Why couldnt yall have just beat them last year? They wouldnt be top 10. They wouldnt be favored. We wouldnt have to hear about Boyd beating an LSU defense.

I blame all of this on you guys!
