re: Portal Stats thru 3 Days

Sad part is that according to stats from past years a large amount of these kids won't even end up on another team. They will wait for a call that won't ever come.

That board is 80% trolls. I dont even go their and I'm a Clemson fan. There is not a good Clemson board since scout.com went extinct. You can find a few good clemson fans on sports hoopla or rivals cfb board.

Well this IS THAT YEAR! ?
No matter what happens in this game we are not going anywhere in the near future. I'm not blind enough to think we can go undefeated every year but I doubt we go back to a 8-9 win team as long as Swinney is running the show.

If you say so. Only thing I am worried about right now is if I am even going to get to watch the game. I am on the road 20 of the next 22 days starting tomorrow. I get in that Sunday night. I get Monday off but I have a 5 am flight Tuesday morning so I doubt I see much of the game.

Scared of what exactly? This game has no bearing on my everyday life. Doesn't pay any bill in my house or put food on my table. If LSU wins then we take the L and get ready for next season. This game isn't even on my radar of things to worry about.

You can do what ifs in every game. Fact is Ohio State choked. The stage was set for them to have an epic last drive and they shite the bed. That was the difference in the game. Clemson pushed through on that last drive and Ohio State shite the bed AGAIN like they have every playoff game since they beat Bama in 2014.

That's not right. We have played 12 in just the past 5 years with the only two losses coming to Bama.

You guys are favored with 93% of the money on LSU. Not sure you can "shock the world" at this point.
re: 19 LSU is better than 18 Bama. How does 19 Clemson compare to 18 Clemson?
Posted by PDTigerfan on 1/4/20 at 10:50 am
I agree with most of this in regards to Clemson. The 18 Dline was probably one of the top 5 ever in CFB. The 19 line while talented is young and is probably a year away from being a great D line. We(Clemson) probably wont ever see a D line like 18 again. Those kids were just insanely good.
re: It wasn’t that long ago that Clemsoning was a thing
Posted by PDTigerfan on 1/2/20 at 11:27 am
Clemsoning would be beating a good team you were picked to lose too one week only to lose to a 2 win Duke team the next week. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
re: Give me the BCS back
Posted by PDTigerfan on 1/1/20 at 12:45 pm
BCS was not a good system. People keep saying "give me the computers" but dont realize those computer algorithms are programmed by men who basically decided what stats they thought meant more for their rankings. It was basically the committee but all the programmers refused to show the world how their systems worked so it was much more secretive that it is now.
You realize the BCS would have kept out Clemson in 2016 in favor of Ohio State. You know the team Clemson bitch slapped 31-0.

until the rain started to fall.
The rain fell for 3 days before, during the entire game and for about 3 days after. If I remember correctly a few inches feel during the game and it was heavy at the start then light then heavy at the end. What happened in that game was Clemson went up 21-3 and went conservative and played not to lose when they should have just keep going hard. Clemson only threw 6 passes in the last 28 minutes of game time.

Yea that 1527 yards and 13 TDs by Gallman didnt help at all
re: Heisman talk - Fournette, Henry, Cook
Posted by PDTigerfan on 12/2/15 at 8:21 pm
Tell me something. What makes Henry's numbers so impressive to you guys? Since 2011 there have been 7 players rush for 1900 or more yards. What makes his 1750 so special where the rest of those players failed to win the Heisman.
Melvin Gordon had almost 2400 last year and still lost to a QB. Andre Williams had 2102 and finished fourth. Both had an equal or higher yards per carry to Henry. Gordon had 7.5 ypc.

Even with the extra game Mayfield's numbers are better against better competition. He won't win because of the lack of exposure this weekend, but Watson won't win even with it.
Also, Watson's numbers just don't measure up, as far as QBs go, the last 5 winners.
Newton - 3,998 yards with 48 TDs
Griffin - 4,642 yards with 45 TDs
Manziel - 4,600 yards with 43 TDs
Winston - 4,013 yards with 42 TDs
Mariota - 4,452 yards with 52 TDs
Watson - 3,979 with 36 TDs (One more game to play)
You realize some of the stats you are showing were for 14 or 15 games right? Watson may be a little off pace for a typical Heisman winner QB but hes not that far off. His numbers are very close to Mariota and Winston through 12 games.
Watson 3323 yards passing with 27 TDs and 756 rushing with 9 TDs
After 12 games
Mariota 3470 yards passing with 36 TDs and 636 rushing with 11 TDs
Winston 3490 yards passing with 35 TDs and 220 rushing with 2 TDs
Manziel 3419 yards passing with 24 TDs and 1123 rushing and 19 TDs

Tough way to go out as a senior. This is bad for UGA though. This could possibly open the door for GT to actually make the game competitive this season.

Yepp. I'm sick of all the Clemson crap. SC has to take care of that shite and shut them up. To their credit, they've done well against the SEC as of late, making me hope that SC curb stomps them even more.
Don't hate on my boys because your team choked when it mattered the most. "OH NO.....he missed". Classic. Still making weekly death threats to your kicker??
