...point being he could be the first OC to get shut out against the same while coaching for two different schools. Read the reports coming out of Blacksburg. Their offense can't even execute against their defense in scrimmages.

I think Alabama wins easily, but I don't think they cover the spread. I'm thinking something along the lines of 31-13.
Consider this to be almost like a preseason scrimmage, one that Alabama wins handily. At some point in the 3rd, Beamer will find himself down something like 24-3, and will work on salvaging his team for the season ahead: VT will try to run against Bama's pass rush. That will take the heat off the team, and a 5-6 minute drive for a FG will restore the team's confidence against future opponents. Saban, in turn, will go to the run too. It will run the clock out in a win, it won't embarrass Beamer unnecessarily, and each team will get out of the game with their goals intact- Bama will be undefeated with a convincing win, and VT will be pretty healthy and not coming off a 30 pt loss.
