Maybe. Did you ever think Woodrow Hamilton would start?

Yes. This year probably. I wouldn't put too much into that depth chart they put out. Every one of those guys will play.

What's it say for this staff's recruiting ability when a 5 star , blue chip DE may never start but will still get drafted ? People put too much into starting anyway... By mid season when people start getting banged up is when you really get a feel for the starters/rotation anyway .

slow down. Saying Channing is going to get drafted without maybe ever starting is not very realistic but that would be nice

He's only a sophomore. People need to relax. He's good and will be very good in the future. The guy is just having to actually learn football for the first time in his life.

Go watch Channing in last year's LSU game... Playing on the inside and outside of the DL as a true freshman.. No offense to EJ Epperson or Gilbert Pena but the LSU OL had plenty of hands to go around with CJ out and those guys being our seniors up front... He played incredible... Barring any huge injury setbacks, He will be drafted.

Channing was good last year against the run-heavy teams like LSU... he has a place on the defense against the plodding teams like Arky and Bama as well (I suspect he'll play quite a bit vs. them).

I'm not saying it would surprise me if he gets drafted. I'm saying that thinking he is going to get drafted even if he is never a starter is being very hopeful that our DL is absolutely stacked with no big injuries .

I'm sure there is an example but I don't ever remember us having a player get drafted that was never a starter or even borderline starter

I thought he was a 4-star.

Everyone makes excuses for the 2 weeks he worked out in the weight room and missed team drills.

What were his stats last year?
