Honestly I feel like we travel well. Of course I want as many home games as possible so I dont have to travel to attend, however I dont think this is necessarily a big deal to our program. I think we are more focused when we are on the road.

Just my 2 cents.

More home games = More ticket Revenue = More money for the AD

Plus, Kyle Field is frickin badass

Im speaking strictly on the terms on how it affects our football record. Of course more games = more money. I just dont see having to change a W to and L strictly because we are playing "X" on the road.

I don't give a shite about revenue or our record.

I have season tickets and having less home games sucks arse.

F that Jerry World contract.

I think the Jerry World game is incredibly valuable and it isn't something we should forsake for half a home game every year.

I honestly see very little value proposition in playing at Jerryworld. Sumlin and Cook get marketing so it likely won't be as shitty going forward, but it's still an albatross in general as it limits our scheduling options while costing us revenue.

I'm with tmc94 on this one. Less revenue and it allows Arky to come into Texas and recruit on an annual basis. Plus the stadium sucks arse. Hate that place.

Do you really think we will lose a bunch of recruits to Arky?

And Yes Dr i agree about the home games and attending them. I simply meant this on a end of the season record basis.

Obviously I did not make that clear. I hate the fact we only have 3 home games for personal reasons. I like traveling and expanding our recruiting base though.

FBS schools are required to have 6 home games every year. In 2012, because we already had SMU on the road and we couldn't find another home game, we bought two FCS games and moved Arky back to home and home just to get to 6.

In 2014, we will once again be forced to buy crappy games because the Arkansas series is moving back to DFW and we also have SMU on the road. Ideally we'd play a home/home with a good program and place the home game in 2014. But that robs the 2015 Kyle reopening season from a good OOC home game*. And we can't schedule a road game in 2014 so how do you get a good opponent in '15? Can you announce a 15/16 game? We are likely going to Va Tech in '16 and if so, we don't have the option to schedule another road game in 16.

This is going to be an ongoing issue as long as we play in Jerryworld. The series makes no sense unless there is a clear and compelling reason for it. It doesn't make money. It's not really a high profile game. It's not well loved by the alums on either side. Selling a game at Jerryworld is fine, but the collateral damage it's creating is not worth it.

* Note: I'm pretty sure we're going to do this anyway but it sucks that we can't bring in a high profile OOC game in '15

Completely disagree. One of the best venues in the country to take in a football game.

It's a very divisive stadium. I absolutely hate it and will never watch a football game there again.

Not really but I don't like that they get to host recruits every other year at Jerry World. DFW has never been a hotbed for A&M (OU, UT, Arky, A&M have all competed here) so maybe it'll help us as well. Historically speaking - OU and UT have done better up here...though times have changed
