Your point is?

A&M played Lsu more times than Arkansas did before we joined Lsu's friggin division and started playing them every year. We've still played them more times than A&M has.

Unlike the Arkansas rivalry, LSU actually has a history with A&M. Everything about the two schools has the making for a rivalry IMO. Two huge fan bases, huge stadiums. I could see these two teams hating each other even when one (or both) isn't good. That's a real rivalry. Florida-Tennessee was a situational rivalry. I think LSU-A&M is a natural rivalry.

Hogville site is pure greatness right now.

the Aggies have gotten everything they've whined about since joining the SEC...go figure....one supposes that Slive loves that footprint in Texas for the SEC.....other than that, **** will never be the power that Slive apparently believes they will be in the SEC...been watching **** too long and I know how they can screw up a church wedding when left in charge

This is why I don't root for the SEC. I don't participate in the SEC chants. I hate them all. Because the SEC doesn't give a **** about us.

Wow... we get stuck with Mizzou, in some game that is completely meaningless, and will be relegated to TruTV os some sh$& like that.

That's fine though, we will keep building Wal-Mart stores in their backyards. And what makes this even worse is the new guy (ATM) comes in and gets catered to like royalty. Hell, even usce has gotten great hype for the last 5 years or 6 years and they usually get pounded by Arkansas, but you won't hear about it outside of Arkansas.

So, in all years prior to 1992 (21 years ago), A&M played LSU 7 times more than Arkansas? And, because of those 7 games, 22 year old kids will give a frick?

Umm, ok - whatever. I think the geographical proximity between the two schools can help create a rivalry.

A&M has history with Lsu. It doesn't matter that all this history occurred before any of the players on either team were even born.

I haven't heard anyone complaining. In fact, I really like the benefits of having a bye week before the LSU game. I give the edge to us.

You don't get it. A rivalry is not only how many times you have played a team, but how much you dislike them.

TAMU and LSU were almost instant rivals. They absolutely despised each other in the 80s and 90s. There is something about each respective school that makes that happen. From what I hear, TAMU people hated LSU more than Texas back then. A different kind of dislike.

As an example from the TAMU perspective, you can pit us against Tech or Baylor as many years as you want. And we'll dislike them. And maybe enjoy some of the games. But it won't ever be a true rivalry.

Texas and LSU were true rivalries. And when the teams were playing on a regular basis they were equals as far as hate and respect all in one.

Moral victories aren't needed over the aggies.

It's Hogville for God's sake. That site is like one big short bus day camp.

Nah, we've had enough real victories over you that we're good.

The good news is when you go 7-5/8-4 this year, at least you still remember all the "sleeping giant, Texas recruiting grounds, huge fanbase" lines that you've been using the past 30 years. That should make you feel better.

Much (much) more money to be had playing Mizzou. It really is the best of all worlds for everyone.

Wut.

Arkansas has more history with both schools than they have with each other and Arkansas is a much better program than A&M.
