Would you ever honestly wish the NCAA Death Penalty on your Rival?

We joke about it all the time and heck, some of us have come close (Alabama 2002 ). But would you seriously ever wish the NCAA to lower the ultimate boom on your arch-rival. (and not counting dark thoughts from the hours after the last loss to them)



CONS
Considering such an act would decimate the program, the University and, with the exception of Nashville, cripple the local economy, people jobs and livelihood. If it's a rival you still play then there's revenue that would be lost and if it's in the SEC then the conference takes a hit (the only major program to get the penalty basically brought the SWC down with it) and everyone's schedules get messed up.

PROS
if it's a local rival then the talent market has opened up. Your rival now has a permanent stain on their history and a glorious thing to harp on for decades to come. They'll be as good as a FCS team a you'll probably mount a hefty record against them for the foreseeable future. Their fans will likely go underground for years.
