The issue is there are hardly any universities turning a profit.

I want to say 23 only make a profit. Only 13 make over 100 million in profits.

MOST schools use subsidies to pay for sports. Tax payer money.

LSU, Texas, Nebraska, Ohio State, OU, PSU, Purdue were the ONLY schools that did not report using subsidy money in 2012.

The SEC spends 160+ thousand PER YEAR PER PLAYER.

Now explain to me WHY they should get more than what they are and from WHERE?

Title 9 issues here. fricking female sports that make no money draining athletic department resources to compensate for matching the 85 male football athletes

Auburn has student fees which makes our non football sporting events free for students. Would be impossible otherwise.

Football tickets are heavily subsidized for home games as well

Most of that concerns issues that aren't player compensation related such as travel costs which are required to play away games. When I travel for work, my company puts me up in hotels too and pays for shite that doesn't mean I should demand my just pay
