I think this year's game will be more competitive. I still believe A&M wins in Columbia, but not by a lot.

Mizzou will undoubtedly be stronger due to a healthy team, a healthy QB, our star running back (Henry Josey) is returning for the first time since 2011, we no longer have a freshmen O-line - they have SEC experience now, DGB and our receiving corps are experienced and deep, and Mizzou sorta knows what it takes to win in the SEC.

Not sure how the Manziel drama will affect A&M. Big question mark. Plus, A&M lost some big playmakers. On paper from a preseason point of view, i think Mizzou has gained while A&M has lost just a bit. I think that brings the two teams closer together in terms of playmaking potential.

Regardless, Sumlin and Manziel are game changers. No doubt, A&M has the edge. Mizzou most defintely hasn't gained more than A&M's lost.

here's looking forward to a competitive game!

Welcome Killz

I for one cant wait to see Mizzou surprise some teams this year(A&M excluded).I had no idea Mizzou was so deep at WR. I knew DGB was a beast, but had no idea about the others. Should be a shootout!

I'm hoping we beat you even worse.

But if Mizzou is healthy I think it will be a good game.

I think last year was an aberration for Mizzou.

kills, here's the unfortunate part:

Missouri, from the moment A&M put in its backup defensive players in the 2nd half, scored 22 points.

That = LACK OF DEPTH

Due to the fact that A&M has more depth on defense, Missouri will likely not score 29 points (more than any other SEC team scored on A&M in 2012)

I agree that y'all will be great. But Mizzou will be better too.

Welcome Killz

I hope it's a good game, although I wouldn't mind if we pay y'all back for the last ten years in the big 12.

I believe it will be by at least 4 TDs.

My senior year, we played Missouri in Columbia. The year prior, A&M slugged out a hard fought victory in the rain clinching the Big 12 South 13-10.

Result:

A&M 51
Missouri 14

I expect it to be closer. I also think Mizzou will be bowl eligible when that game comes around.

It's really hard to tell what a game that far out will look like, though I do expect Mizzou to be better.

The tough thing as to the closeness of the game is our offense is so explosive it can take a close game and blow it out in a hurry. For instance last year's game actually "felt" kind of close and then you look up and A&M is up 5 TD's. It makes getting a stop feel like a big win. Our offense can really exploit even a slight talent advantage and our defense is decent.

It really takes a defense loaded with elite athletes to stop the offense and unfortunately for Mizzou they just don't have that. Your offense will be a lot better though and you do have some fantastic WR's, I just don't think you can keep up score for score if it comes to a shooting match.

I agree.
