IMO, you nailed... all boards eventually devolve to the lowest common denominator (see SEC Recruiting Board). This place has been good b/c of the lack of flaming... letting others in opens the door for that.

I don't see the point, really... I get the idea of having another side's opinion on specific recruits, but that info can be gained with relative ease anyway.

The bama board could probably pull off letting select others in b/c their fanbase is so strong right now... little to no division. This place isn't like that (probably never will).

My major point of contention on this issue is that the space to have universal opinions already exists. It exists for football and recruiting discussions.

This board has operated as an exclusive area for Auburn posters to interact without other fan groups and should continue to do so. The experience of this board should not change because of people's frustration with other boards. That's no-no and you guys know it.

part of the problem is the lack of a visible presence of an Admin on many of the boards. Sure they will do a ban and warn folks, but no one knows it, so the others carry on and continue with it.

The team boards have a more visible admin, for the most part, an I think folks would be a little more apprehensive to flame, knowing it is easier to be punished and in a more prolific manner
