Maybe. You REALLY need for Cameron to live up to the hype, though. Keep your fingers crossed! All you need is just a little bit of improvement. Shoot, your defense is always lights out. Wouldn't be fair for you guys to discover the offense, too!

I suspect part of Mettenberger's problem has been having to learn so many new systems....this will be his third since he went to LSU, right? That's tough on anybody. I imagine Landry will fit nicely into your receiver lore. He can be as good as your past guys.

You argument is just stupid. If an LSU fan says offense will be improved as a general statement without going into detail somehow that translates into homerism?

Guess the same thing could be said about Auburn with Malzan then? Right

uh my argument of wait and see how he actually does in the college game and not using a few coaches success in CFB compared to countless others failures is stupid?

Whoa, Nelly! Let's not wake that sleeping Gator already! We just now go to the point where we can beat them occasionally!

The Gators have won over 80 percent of their divisional games since 2000, but have only won around 1/3 of the divisional titles.

Losing 50 percent of their games against LSU is a big anchor around their necks.

I think the real message is not that LSU will be unstoppable with Cam. It's that the LSU offense should improve. Realistically, if LSU had an offense in the top 60 in the nation we may be talking about the LSU dynasty instead of Bama.

Everyone in the conference knows we have the talent. Will it materialize or not is still up in the air. But we have more reason to think it will be better rather than worse.

If LSU isn't winning a championship this year it will be due to injury or special teams (place kicking) or scheduling. It won't be due to offense.

Or that is at least the great LSU hope....

Anyone who says LSU will have a dominant offense is as off his rocker as the person who tries to say Cam is unproven as an offensive coordinator.

Both of those opinions should be taking a wait and see approach instead of declaring such from the hilltops.

Unless, of course, you live under a bridge. In that case, troll away......

And therein lies a BIG key for LSU and Georgia, as well. We both got wiped out on the defensive side of the ball. Neither of us think it will be a major problem because both schools recruit well, and the replacements we both have got a lot of playing time. HOWEVER, the 2nd string probably did NOT get much playing time, as they would have been third string or on the freshman team/JV. If our starters go down, (And normally in the SEC several will get hurt and miss SOME time) depth with experience will be difficult to find.
