Actually, you guys will have the perfect opportunity to tell EVERYBODY to shut up. TCU will be a good test. If you guys score 25 points against TCU, I would say LSU has a winner. If not...

The Baltimore Sun, crediting unnamed sources, cited the Ravens' inconsistency on offense and quarterback Joe Flacco's development, of which the team hasn't seen significant progress.
Ok. Soooooo......
I'm sure his failure to develop Flacco will not inhibit his ability to develop Mettenberger.

Cameron, 51, joined the Ravens in 2008 after he was fired as coach of the Dolphins following a 1-15 season.
Yep. When you are showed what an awful hire you got, and not the great saviour you were told you had...well....you can always resort to calling names. Very mature of you, I'm sure.
One more link about why Baltimore fired Cameron.

Then why was he fired? Serious question, because I really don't know
Partly fan pressure because they felt he wasn't running Rice enough and partly because he went off on Harbaugh in front of the team

In 1998 Sean Payton was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles.
During the 2002 season, after several poor showings by the Giants' offense, Payton's role in play-calling was taken over by then head coach Jim Fassel. Under Fassel the offense improved and propelled the team to a wild-card playoff berth.
Most coaches and coordinators are fired sooner or later in the NFL.
Being fired by the team that won the last Super Bowl after building their offense for the past 5 years is a strong recomendation, not a negative.

I know you are flaming and you are entitled to do so.
But I trust the words of people like LT, Brees, Flacco, Norv Turner and even Harabaugh who fired him. I do not think all these people would say such great things if there wasn't some truth to it.

Seems like a recipe for success for an LSU team with already shaky chemistry

You're clueless.
Btw....who's your OC?

I don't think you did, did you? You mean, you don't know who your head coach is? I was just demonstrating his ineptitude. however, I notice that you had no comment about the insiders saying he was fired in part to his inability to develop Flacco.

Baltimore is and has been known for their offense....or defense?
Posted on 7/27/13 at 4:09 pm to LaBornNRaised
So, you missed the part that said he was fired in part because he could not develop Flacco?

You are so proud of having a "big name" coordinator that everybody knows has been fired from several recent jobs. Spavital and McKinney are no names who will likely be interviewing for HC jobs in 6 months, just like Kingsbury last year and Dana Holgorsen before him. That is what Sumlin's OCs do.

If you looked at LSU's coaching staff, a lot of them failed as head coaches, but are great position coaches. You people act like Cam Cameron was that bad in the NFL, which he was probably one of the most successful over the past decade. People get fired for different reasons, doesn't mean he did a bad job at Baltimore. Harbaugh and Cameron differed in offensive philosophies and couldn't make it work, so they let him go. Cam is a guy who its his way or no way, that's why LSU fans are very excited about this hire.

So you're going the co-OC route.....that always seems to work well. Do any of them have any OC experience? Cam was responsible for some of the top offenses in the NFL

His team scored 28 points in the last game before he was fired, and Baltimore had a two game lead in their division.
Cameron's performance as offensive coordinator was not the issue. The main reason Baltimore won the Super Bowl was due to an improvement in their defense rather than their offense.
Baltimore's improvement on offense was due to better execution of the plays, not new or better plays.
LSU now has the best qualified offensive coordinator and QB's coach in college football--period.
Teach me the ways of revisionist history, please.
