Know the kind of guy Kiffin is, it will probably be after NSD that he announces he's gone.

We're now ranked #26 on ESPN class rankings FWIW.

Wait til we get Hentges, Sapp and TBJ. Top 20 for sure.

Maybe DeSean Blair will convince Kahlil Welsh to flip to us.

Welsh did get his offer from Florida and will visit there this weekend. I'd be shocked if he didn't commit to them.

Also, FSU needs to DIAF, TBJ is ours.

Anyone know how many spots we have left? I'm guessing around 5 assuming a few upperclassmen buried on the depth chart transfer out. Who are the 5 people that we have a good shot at that you would want to see in black and gold? For me, it's TBJ, Sapp, Hentges, Jacobs, and either Daniels or Howard. I'd also like to get Martin, but it sounds like he won't qualify.

According to a poster on the P-D forumn site, who is a former GA under Larry Smith, we might go as high as 25-27. Which means 7-9 more.

Personally, I don't think we go that high. My gues would be 5 more...max.

btw- Scratch off Pinkney. Committed to Vandy.

18 listed commits. 2 (Cuellar + Owen) already enrolled at MU and Strong enrolled in JUCO already means really 15 for this years class so far.

In theory we could go 10 more but then who is going to leave. I look at the roster and see a few names that could/should go, but not many actual obvious choices.

We got our big wide receiver. Breaking into Norcross HS was probably more important. They produce a lot of D1 talent.

Kiffen is the favorite for the 49ers job. Chudzinski has been blocked of all interviews. Gase was passed over as HC and prolly won't take it. That leaves kiffen and Mike Shanahan. I'm a 49ers fan so I'm keeping up with it.

The Rivals guys are hearing that Hall is our current top target at LB, with Sapp after that. I personally agree, while they both have very good film, I like the build and tenacity of Hall more than Sapp. How Sapp is a high 4* but Hall is only a 3* is another mystery of recruiting I guess.

Just an update on this. Kiffen only leaves for the 49ers and is viewed as the favorite since colts assistant chudzinski is being blocked of interviews. But chudzinski is no longer under contract next week and is viewed as the 49ers preference. If Chud wants niners job it's his.

The only way we go to 7-9 is if they're stud players. I'm talking TBJ level. Hentges level.

I don't know about those numbers. Taking Strong out of the mix, our next commit will put us at the total of 85 if you add the returning scholarship players plus the current commitments. For each commitment we take after the next one, it means we have to drop one from the current list, whether it's a returning player transferring or a non-qualifier. So if we take 10, that's 9 that have to be either processed or not make the grades. That's a pretty hefty number.

5 sounds more reasonable. That means processing/losing 4.

That was my point. There is a hard limit of 25 per year (class) and we could still have 10 openings possible, however looking at the roster, I find it difficult to determine who would be leaving (processed, whatever). I would not think there would be that many players left the staff values that highly.

Hunt and Hurrel likely won't be on scholarship next year.

Hunt is a good player and I still can't figure out while Pinkel can't find a spot for him.

Is he? He plays special teams. I'm just not sure I want him taking carries from any of our scholarship backs.
