I would think it is becoming heated but never really thought about it. Obviously SC grabbed that seat formerly held by Tenn.

Is there a new mood and passion on game day? Or is it the same?

I bet that is a fun game either way. Any insight would be appreciated - no idea the history and feelings on those two teams vs. each other

thx

Ehh it's nothing special.

Fun fact: the only overtime games USC has ever played have both been in Knoxville. Losses in 03 and 07

That is cool fact. I figured Tenn would be really hot to knock yall down and it might have heated things a little. Guess not.

Thanks for reply.

Even though we have sucked arse the past 4 years, it's still just South Carolina. Really not much to get upset about.

As long as Spurrier is there, and possibly beyond, South Carolina has firmly supplanted Tenn as the team that posses the most threat to UGA and UF year in and year out.

I bet that is a huge game in 3 years. If butch can get it rocking again.

I like it when Tenn is good. Doesn't mean I root for yall but it just seems off when Tenn. is down.

Good look with season.

I think we already have seen.

Great job at keeping the arrogant attitude after 5 seasons without a winning record in SEC play though. Hope y'all's 10th choice for head coach can turn things around for yall

Sorry for having confidence in knowing that Tennessee is a better program than USCe when it is all said and done. Honestly not a flame, just how it is.

It's been a GREAT game recently, but I'm totally biased. Now we just look at it like some of the other SECe games, we're playing a team that used to have our number, who doesn't anymore.

Funny because SC fans reciprocate that feeling. Used to be a big deal for us but Spurrier had to point out to SC fans that this year was the first time we beat the Vols 3 years in a row, but no one seemed to care like they did about the same streak vs UGA.

Other than that from like 2000-2007 it was one of the closest series in terms of margin of victory than any other annual SEC series.

Dude Tenn is dead, and I really believe that. It will be a while before they are back to the late 90s early 2000s ability.

Y'all had to settle for Jones. Dooley was able to beat him. I doubt he's the guy to return y'all from mediocrity.

3 years in a row against us while we had Dooley is a substantial accomplishment for you guys. Ill really tip my cap to you guys if you somehow pull off 12 straight on us.

His point was that it wasn't a big accomplishment.

You guys made a ring for your first 11 win season ever. Please don't talk to me about mediocrity.

Apparently you didn't read the rest of my comment. It was hardly noticed by any SC fans and I personally wouldn't have noticed if Spurrier didn't say anything. Its become an expected win. Even last year we can show up with our B game, beat the Vols, and everyone go home and say "yep another W as expected"

You guys were one play away from losing to Derek Dooley. Yea I'd say it should have been an expected win for you guys considering the Outback Bowl seasons you guys are putting up now are unprecedented for your program.

It's a fun game to win but they are just 4th on our list right now. I am enjoying our streaks over Clemmons and Georgia much more than Tenner. I also enjoy beating Florida more.

Recently, its more like I don't care that we beat them so much as I'm relieved we didn't lose to them, because that would be embarrassing. I'm sure thats how the Vols felt about us just a few years ago.
