Gonna be a tough sell to the state legislature.

We're not borrowing money from the state like poor arse ag colleges in the state are forced to do.

Those ones in your link are, yes. But the picture the OP posted was a real architects rendering very early in the process. Here's a link to some pictures of what the real final product will look like.

Yep. It's actually supposed to finish sometime around early August, but I saw somewhere that they are ahead.

is it just me or is mizzou being really, really, really, seriously optimistic? that stadium looks incredible but, 100k? I realize joining the sec will make a difference though but, are they seriously going to consistently outdraw ole miss, ky, msu, ark, etc?

Lol...where exactly did you read we're going to 100,000? That would be completely and utterly absurd for us! With the current ongoing renovations and expansion, Faurot will hold about 75,000. It won't even hold 77,000 like some people are saying. This is due to some new club seats taking up about 5 rows on top of the east stands, reducing the capacity there. Then it's regained and surpassed some by the addition of seats in the new upper deck. It evens out to around 75,000. When the south endzone gets the expansion in the next 10 years or so, Faurot will max out at about 80,000. Maybe a tad bit more. These are the facts

Tiger Stadium's expansion is actually ahead of schedule as well, but any sort of tropical weather system could change that with the quickness.

I agree, but DV will be at 100,000 and have the south endzone closed in..Noise gonna be insane

Also, the picture on page one is an older rendering.

Can I start a campaign to put in Hedges in Commonwealth Stadium? Its something almost all SEC schools have that CWS is lacking.

A Kick starter campaign maybe?

Mizzou's won't be 100k.
Phase one includes:
"The Faurot Field renovations that are under way are as follows:

Last year, plans were announced to increase the capacity of Memorial Stadium by roughly 6,000 seats.
By the start of the 2013 season, the west side press box at Faurot Field will be renovated and the facilities housing the press will move to the sixth floor. The existing press box facilities are being converted into premium suites.
Also expected by the start of the 2013 season, the “Rock M” – one of the more well known landmarks in college football stadiums – is going to be moved closer to the north endzone. Also, the northern concourse will be expanded.
By the start of the 2014 season, Faurot Field will be given an upper bowl on the east side of the stadium. This is expected to bring an additional 5,200 general seats and 800 premium seats."

The second phase will begin after this, it is the grayed out portion you see in the image below, I would estimate our capacity to be ~83k when it's all said and done.

You left out the future expansion of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to 104k-107k. They finally got the go-ahead to expand on the east section of the stadium. Additional seats will be added to the south end as well.

The north façade will be updated to incorporate Gothic features to match the surrounding historic buildings. Two new, large Gothic revival academic buildings will be built where the current spiral ramps are located. The southeast corner will be modified to attach to the existing south façade of the Florida Gymnasium. The guts of the Florida Gym will be torn down. And the south side of the stadium will be updated with Gothic features as well and will be covered in ivy. The upgrades will be similar to what was done with Doak Campbell stadium but will have a more classical look, won't be as cheap or modern-looking. The renderings look really nice, even with the west side remaining untouched.

I don't think there is room for them. Not enough green space around the edges of the field.
