Helfrich was OC and QB coach

Isn't that about the same as being Spurrier's OC and QB coach?

I get the impression that CK let the coordinators be coordinators. Bellotti seemed more of a micromanager than CK.

When Chip turned down the Tampa Bay job a year and half ago one of the reason cited was that no succession plan was in place. Chip handpicked Helfrich at that point. Chip is effusive in praise for Helfrich.

I think this transition is going to be similar to Harbaugh to Shaw. Helfrich is a protégé to Chip and the cupboards are so full that it's fail proof.
