Right and Dez is more physical but can get super sloppy at times and totally lacks focus, his college O versus D Thomas' O also didnt do him any favors, Thomas had to capitalize on every opportunity since he got a whole lot less targets amd Dez's full 2 yrs at Ok St he was target city so each guy's development was vastly different

Running option routes would have helped Dez in creativity and learning how to get open, which has translated to the NFL as a PR and WR early.
Thomas was more bound to a limited call of vertical routes and screens, thus not giving him much time to learn much else. Shows in his present deep routes, he learned his deep game early.
Bryant had to match what he was doing with legitimate routes, he was running them without knowing and committing them to memory. Thomas had to fill in the middle of his tree, already knowing his deep game and the short game.
Neither is exact comparison, but traits can been drawn from both in relation to Williams...
