hehe...well glad to hear that. Wasn't sure if it was overkill or not but figured I could link them while I watched if for no other reason than to liven up the board.
It's open but Sumlin specifically said no cameras allowed. I'm not going to make it so hopefully someone that does can give us an opinion on things and let us know who is playing where.

Is the scrimmage going to be streamed/filmed by anyone?

Not overkill at all. Keep it up!

I was in Carthage talking to some guys about Isiah. Said that his work ethic while there was lackluster. Any body if that has changed?

In Carthage or Elysian Fields? I ask because when he was at EF that was the scuttlebutt but everything I heard from Carthage was he was a model citizen who worked well.

Interesting article on packaged plays. We use this a lot though we're only casually mentioned in this article. If you rewatch the Bama game, you can see how we exploited their LB a ton like this. We must have hit Swope on a 5-yard dig about 5 times in the first two drives - successful every single time.
Anyway, it can give you an idea what you want out of a QB in this offense - quick decision making, accuracy, quick release. The other things like scramble ability and rocket arm are nice and make the difference between being able to exploit elite defenses or not, but those 3 primary things are the keys. If you can't do that, you can't run this offense.

In Carthage. Just word of mouth from some of the local guys around there so I didn't take too much thought about it. Just wanted to ask you.

hmmm, well I'd definitely heard that but not about his time in Carthage so I guess it doesn't surprise.

per conversation with someone in attendance
- Joeckel is the most ready to run this offense of the backup QBs. Efficient but it would still be a large step back
- Kenny Hill looks talented but not progressing through reads all the time yet and forcing the issue
- First team OL is just studly. The backups however were on the whole unimpressive
- Most of the freshmen WRs seem ready to make an impact but Jaquay is looking like a redshirt candidate. Just very very raw still
- Obioha seems very focused and may be taking that next big step
- Golden and Hall beasted the 2nd team OL. Hall in particular pretty much blew past Stuckey virtually every play.
- Tommy Sanders is ridiculously fast and even outran Manziel down the sideline on a fumble recovery.
- Freshmen Claiborne and Mastro stood out. Wade, Chevis will both likely redshirt. Washington is a question mark
- Honeycutt is our starting FS. He's this year's Steven Terrell. He plays assignment football and helps keep everyone in the right place making the whole secondary better
- Everett didn't play. Jacobs started in his spot
And Scrimmage Highlights

If Honeycutt is our starting FS, what happened to Raven?

btw, someone just told me Jacobs didn't scrimmage and this is on me. I think I asked who plays if Everett can't go and the answer was Jacobs and I just projected that to the scrimmage. Apparently Sezer started with Vic Davis and Garner running 2nd team CB and Ellis played nickel

@TaylorHamm247 According to a source, Matt Davis has been notified that he's no longer in the race for the back up QB spot. Down to Hill and Joeckel.

Expect a ban for linking that source.

Interesting. I bet it's Joeckel
