Kirby isn't a big time hire. He might be great, but it's pretty well known Saban runs that defense. We've yet to see what KS can actually do.

And to your other point, you could really make that argument about any assistant coach. You wont know until they get a chance.

But seriously, he's waiting on the Alabama job. I'm convinced he's going to take over in about 5 years.
