Yes that is exactly how it works. Just like Florida was 26-2 with a natty and conference championship the 2 years prior to 2010.
Result 8-5.
Just saying when you lose a lot of talent there can be a drop off.

I missed the part where we had to replace a Heisman winning 2 time national champion quarterback with John Brantley.
