Umm, I think you are on my side of the argument. I think you misunderstood where I stand.

Marlins have played 57 games to the Dolphins 16. Of course they are going to have more total attendance.

I could have replied to the wrong poster. I was rebutting the assertion that total attendance for the year trumps average attendance per game.

So what, we're supposed to believe that the NCAA, who doesn't even sanction a champion themselves, has an opinion on what's to be considered 'major'?
...and that legitimizes 1941 over 2011?

you were referring to the poster I quoted not me. Tis all good

LSU fans only criticize y'all for it.
It's because I think Alabama's better than that.

Or maybe it's yet another byproduct of 1/9?

Oh, that's gravy.
It wouldn't be so good without Alabama's legitimate claim.
Imagine it from a Minnesota fan's perspective, "Oh, Alabama claims the title for '41? Are they kidding?"
It's just an embarrassment that should be cleared up...
...with a little anti-viral cream.

And yet still no criticism of other SEC programs for doing the same thing.

I think the argument was for right now, not historically

I think we established that this was about recent history. Not Gump all time origin of dirt history.
