Yeah, and THAT'S what gets my rocks off, when my school makes more money!
How exciting!
Maybe we could do away with the whole football thing and just have the universities enter a lottery. Each school antes up what would have been their operating expenses for the season and winner takes all! We could have the drawing in, say, Birmingham.
Can you imagine the sheer fun of that? Woohoo!

The SEC went to an 8 game schedule in 1992.
Right, however LSU was still in a ten-year contract with A&M. they weren't going to break that, all they did was cancel the two year extension when it came up because LSU was losing money by not having enough home games. We added Arky as a home and away series and couldn't afford another one.
At least we honored the original contract - AND gave the aggies a suitable replacement as per the contract. Unfortunately the aggies didn't feel it was a suitable replacement after they ended up losing to USL.
...that's when they started to blame LSU and demanding money.

Fans like you who crave mediocrity for the sake of winning a 'championship'.
You seem more jazzed about Auburn making money than watching good, competitive, entertaining football games.
Unfortunately there are more and more fans like you these days.

KaiserSoze99, You are not an A&M fan. You are a small former longhorn cheerleader. You are a little man and I can testify to that.

The contract with USC was never completed, it was announced at the same time as the Oregon game by Byrne.
After Byrne made the announcement, USC decided not to sign the contract, so essentially the USC game was never scheduled.
There was a line in the Oregon contract that stated something along the lines that either team could back out if there was a conference change made by either team.

Well, we tried to schedule ctiger69's nutless bovines, but they, like him, are too pussy to play us.

Look at all of the Internet tough guys.
Here's the thing: Fans don't create the schedules; we yell for our team, regardless of the opponent. Wait and see who we schedule as replacements before you whine about a manufactured sense of indignity.

I didn't make the schedule.
I swear.
Resurrect this thread once we schedule the replacements.
I'll comment, the moment I see it. Aggie word.
