If 247 gives special bumps to Bama players, why is Whitley almost 50 spots lower on there than his composite when the owner/bol said he was one of the (if not the) biggest Bama target?
He has better measurables, offers, composite ranking and was offered by UGA before Parrish. Can you explain how he isn't in the same league?

Kalvaraz Bessent over Malkom Parrish is like 247's running joke. Bessent is a nice player, solid 4*, but he isn't in Parrish's league.

Parrish plays at a small high school in rural south Georgia. Nobody knew who he was until the Valdosta MVP camp earlier this year. He put on a show and became UGA's #1 target at cornerback immediately. He has since expressed that he will not go to college out of state, so other schools haven't come after him as much.
According to paysites, he didn't allow a single completed pass in 1-on-1s at either the Valdosta MVP or Atlanta Rivals camps. Not one. That's absurd, and his tape backs that up to go along with big time tackling ability for a corner. He is also the QB for his HS team. GT was actually recruiting him at QB.
Bessent has great upside, but I don't like how you don't see him make a single tackle in his 247 film. He's also pretty thin right now. I'm not doubting that he's a great prospect, but I think Parrish is just a better football player at this point.
