Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans aren't SEC cities either.

Atlanta is a SEC and ACC city
New Orleans is a SEC city just to hard to get to and they jack prices for games
Tampa is not a SEC but somewhere in north FL might have a site

What makes ATL a great city is central location, hub airport, and more reasonable lodging costs. Downside is playing basketball in a football venue which I hate.

Nashville is pretty much the only choice.

Nashville is centrally located to several of the primary basketball schools in the SEC. UK is 3-4 hours and it is a straight shot from Nashville to Little Rock on the interstate (if the Hogs ever get their shite together and get back to being good) so that is a plus. Vols and Vandy are close as well and if Mizzou winds up in the top 1/3 of the SEC they have drive advantage as well. Florida is good but how many Gators travel for basketball? Nashville is not a terrible drive for the AL and MS schools and the outliers of TAMU and USC do not have the greatest basketball history.

He's saying neither has a SEC school based there. I think everyone is aware that there's a strong SEC fan presence in both cities.
