They should just keep it rotating. The only place it should go if kept permanent is Atlanta.
Agreed.
But it's still a travesty the state of Kentucky doesn't get to sniff the rotation despite having the facilities to host in Louisville. But St. Louis will.

Only because of the Final Four rule thing.
But like I said earlier in the thread, it could make for a great week for a college basketball fan. Go watch great mid major basketball in the Arch Madness tourney and stick around for the SEC tournament. I used no adjectives to describe the play in the SEC tournament because I don't want to be mean.

I actually agree with you that Louisville not hosting the SEC tourney is beyond retarded. The Big 12 caved long long ago and realized the ku/Mizzou/K-State triangle around Kansas City was its basketball epicenter and let that place host more tourneys than anywhere else. Why the SEC would not get the memo and not honor its flagship basketball school by playing the tourney in a perfectly acceptable venue in your state, I have no idea.
The basketball fervor in the SEC, such as it is, exists around UK (ahead of everyone else by a wide margin) then Vandy, Arky, Mizzou as teams that will always genuinely give a sh** about hoops. Because of those four programs (and Tennessee when the Vols are good) an SEC tournament in Louisville is a no brainer, but I would add that those fanbases will make the event in STL pretty well attended too. It will be primarily a UK/Mizzou/Arky show of fan support in STL, again with Tennessee in there too if they are good. Simple fact is though, if you hold the tournament in N'awlins, Atlanta, Birmingham or Tampa or the like, the local fans down there are not going to support it. Florida fans somewhat if its local. But the other traditional SEC cities aren't gonna show up in force for it. May as well give the Yanks a shot.
