WCS: We frick up and lose to mizzou
BCS: We beat mizzou, sc, lose to vandy win 1 more then lose again.
I think it's kinda wishful thinking we can beat vandy they are stackkkked.
Final Prediction: We win first two then lose out.

Seriously? After the series we just had with them I couldn't be more ecstatic about getting set up to play them again. They don't want to play us again. Vandy is the only team I worry about us having to play right now.

I wouldn't sleep on LSU.

Remember when we were supposed to have an awesome team built for tournament play?
Oh pre-season ignorant bliss.

Obviously you can lose to any team in the tournament, but Vandy was the only team we played this year that I thought was clearly better than us.

When did this cease to exist? Seems I didn't get the memo.

FIFY. We just took 2 of 3 from a team that has played for 3 straight national titles despite the lynchpin of our offense being ice cold.
- First 40-win regular season since 1997.
- First regional host since 2003.
= Taxman bitching about the team.

I predict these dawgs just dawg the frick out in Hoover and show everybody how god damn tough they are!!
By that I mean if yall beat Mizzou then State or Vanderbilt will represent your half of the bracket in the tournament final.

I hope not. Hate where we matched up in the bracket having to see South Carolina again. Would have much preferred to be in OM's slot where we'd have the opportunity to erase some series losses on the year -- with UK, Arky, LSU, etc...
Only way we can help our cause on our side is by stealing one from Vandy -- in game 3(at least)!

I was just sarcastically reminiscing on all the talk about our pitching being so solid before the season began. It's true we've done pretty well but our pitching has been pretty shaky at times and we have no aces and now Renfroe has cold bat. The world is literally falling down around us!!
Pre-tournament ignorant jitters, indeed.

You were correct in assessment though. In the preseason, we all thought we would be much more equipped for post season than we are.
Most thought we will have 4 legit weekend starters.
Woodruff- out for season with injury.
E. Mitchell- cant throw a strike
So we are down to...
Pollo- a warrior, but not a #1 pitcher
Graveman- has been our most consistent, but struggled a bit as of late
Lindgren- been struggling through injuries lately. Not pitching at all like he did at the 1st of the season.
There is a cause for concern. Good news is Bracewell, R. Mitchell, Girodo, and Holder are all excellent out of then pen.

Yeap we'll survive and thrive on our relief. I just hope we can get some decent starts outta these guys so we don't over extend too early. Of course that's a concern for all teams.

Even without our two best(MLB) arm talents, this is our pitching staff numbers. I agree that it sucks losing two legit Friday night potential guys -- and it probably took us down a tier this year from an elite/national seed level team to a second-tier host team. I keep asking myself what Vandy and LSU would be if they lost 2 of their best 3 starting arm talents for whatever reason? In that way, I think we've overachieved this year...

Door is open for us if we can get past USCe.
