I am always trying to improve my life by finding the best places to do things. I am going into my final year here so I want it to be a blast. So what say you folks with knowledge?

Gym:

Steak:

Place to take a first date:

Dog park:

BBQ:

Bike paths/trails:

Fresh produce:

Places to eat before leaving:

Things to do before leaving:

Of course I have my own ideas for some of these but I consistently find that this place has more to offer if you know all the ins and outs.

Gym: The Rec

Steak: The Republic (easy #1 in my book)

Place to take a first date: Messina Hof

Dog park: Uhhh....

BBQ: BBQ is kind of weak in CS. I say Rudy's. Not special but consistently good. C&J's has been bad the few times i've tried it.

Bike paths/trails: No idea.

Fresh produce: There is a farmers market in Bryan and one in Hempstead.

Places to eat before leaving: Laynes (Chicken and sauce), Koppe Bridge (burger), La Riveria (dessert), The Republic (steaks), and the Chicken (nothing special but "famous" bar)

Things to do before leaving: North gate, Kyle, Olsen, MSC, Muster, Silver Taps.

Gotta do a chicken challenge before you go.

Open and close that bad boy. Gotta have at least a beer every hour too.

Meet a lot of people the day you do this btw

Martin's BBQ in Bryan.

It's not the kind of dining establishment you'll write home about, simply a historic institution that you ought to visit before leaving.

Definitely go to Muster and Taps if you haven't been yet.

Hitting every bar on NG in a night can be fun. You see some very different groups of people.

Pretty much impossible to get a drink at every bar on north gate now. Too many bars.

I've never completed it and the last time I tried was like 2011. Getting to see a bunch of the different places though is pretty fun.

Oh it's a blast! Just not possible with about 30 bars.

Unless you take some addy/vyvance and get super focused on the task at hand

Yeah I'm here for grad school.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Some of these places I have never heard of. I also haven't done the Muster yet.

This is a bit lengthy story but a great read. Especially if you've ever been to a Silver Taps

Hullabaloo is great. I always take visitors there. I have not tried Fargo's yet but it's on the list.

Thanks Spur. Believe it or not I haven't been there either. It is on the list of places we take official department visitors but I have always been in on the Republic or Madden's. Maybe it's a good place to take a date as well?

Eccel is awesome for lunch. Right next to campus and they have great pastas, sandwiches and things like that.
