Below average passer based on what?

Don't be so naive bro. His passing numbers are inflated because of him being such a running threat. Teams had to keep 8 in the box on every play to try and stop him (which most of the time they didn't). It's pretty easy for an average passer to put up big numbers when everyone is stacking the box.

Or he is just a better college passer than people give him credit for. I don't know why it is so hard for some to give him credit instead of constantly trying to downplay or explain away his numbers. Sure he was a threat, but then why didn't other running QBs or QBs with great RB's put up better numbers?
