I'd say there's a bit of a difference though. Ones the end-all be-all in Christianity(everything written in stone, all rules and philosophies known, etc), while aliens are something we know nothing about definitively. We just continue to learn through basic knowledge of ourselves/planet/solar system and personal experiences.

One is completely faith based, while the other is knowledge based.

I just don't see the distinction. I dont think magnitude of the conclusion makes a difference when both conclusions are based on best guess and not fact.
