Unless your planting trees, I dunno why that would factor into college football playoffs. We have ways of dealing with trees...

Correct answer: LSU and 'Bama are destined to be the teams which 99% of other teams aspire to be like for a long time.

Why do lsu fans feel like they're on bama's level? 3 SEC teams have won a title since lsu last did it. Lsu is bama lite

Contrast that with Alabama who would have made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years.

You sure the selection committee would have let Alabama in playing cupcakes?

There will only be one SEC team picked for the playoffs every year.

While I won't say every year, this is my thinking as well. They will only put 2 SEC teams in when there is no way around it.

You might be right. But what we can pretty much guarantee is that Auburn will not make that playoff for the next decade or 3.

Cam Newton Jr. is your only hope.

The winner of the LSU/Alabama game was going to be national champion. Or at least get there.. 2011.

LSU might have needed some luck last year since they already lost to UF. They probably would have gotten in since Oregon and Kansas State lost, but it's not like they were guaranteed a spot if they had beaten us.

I rather doubt LSU beats UGA in ATL. LSU beats UF, UGA beats ND....imo

LSU would have been in a better position than Alabama was in last season since they lost to Florida so early...

Don't forget Alabama lost a game about 5 weeks later and made it back up to #2.

Florida wouldn't have gone over LSU.. It may have been close.

Because we are the main two teams to fight it out in the west. We have also beaten Bama more in the last 3-5 years than any other team in the SEC. Want to try a different question?

If LSU is not on Bama's level, what college football programs are on their level?

LSU has won 5 SEC Western crowns and Bama has won 4 SEC Western crowns since 1999.

Bama has won 3 BCS Championships, and LSU has won 2 BCS Championships since 1999.

Bama is the only school to ever win a BCS Championship without winning their conference championship because LSU beat Bama for the SEC Western Crown in 2011.

How can a Big-10 fan know more about SEC football than a very large segment of the Gump Nation on the RANT?

The new playoff system should be renamed to "How To Keep Two SEC Teams From Ever Playing Each Other For A NC Ever Again Ever"

I like how you imply that LSU is anywhere remotely as dominant a program as Bama. It's a solid troll really. The answer is the championship is going to be Bama vs someone every year and every once in a while it will be LSU.
