ETA:But Groves, who listed his address as Jacksonville Florida, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and was found guilty of the offense on Tuesday. He paid the fine and costs of $365.
“I want to apologize to the Browns organization, our fans and the city of Cleveland for putting myself in this situation,” Groves said in a statement released by his agent. "I realize I let a lot of people down, most importantly my family. I am committed to learning from this and moving forward.”

Cleveland Browns LB, former Auburn star Quentin Groves arrested in prostitution sting.
leveland Browns linebacker and former Auburn University star Quentin Groves was arrested last week after attempting to solicit a woman he thought to to be a prostitute but who was in fact an undercover police officer.
According to The Cleveland Scene, Groves, who signed a two-year $2.8 million deal with the Browns in March, had responded to an ad and requested "full service" from the undercover officer and had agreed upon a price before arriving. $195.70 and a box of condoms were seized as evidence.
Groves was one of 14 men arrested in a three-day sting operation.
Groves played for Auburn from 2004-2007, earning First Team All-SEC honors as a junior and tying the Auburn career sack record

It is odd to me that whenever a former Bama or Auburn player has legal trouble, soon after another Bama/Auburn player has legal trouble. Always rivals even under arrest.

They should tack on a rape charge for what he did to UA from '04-'07.

I hate to hear that about Groves. I met him once at a charity event I was running and he came to sign autographs for the kids. He seemed like a really classy guy.
