serious question. answer it

So 2013=
BCS Championship.
Mike dies early 2014.
Mike VII arrives on campus summer 2014.

Sign me up. Sorry Mike.

LSU has replaced Mike 6 times already so this analogy doesn't really work for the original question.

Exactly.

Unlike oak trees, tigers don't live very long to begin with.

Oak trees can live up to 500 years. Takes a while for them to get to full size.

You can have a new tiger in no time.

And if one of LSU's "rivals" killed Mike and made a martyr out of him that would only make LSU's resolve that much stronger.

Fortunately LSU doesn't have any "rivals" that would do such a thing. The Aggies are unlikely to brand Mike. They'd have to beat us first. Ole Miss has never messed with Mike that I can recall. Tulane did a long time ago but that'll never happen again.

A better equivalent would be Mike slowly dying for 2 years from poisoning. All the side effects are visible, but there is nothing LSU can do about it until they finally decide to put him down. Then Mike gets replaced a few years later.

Holy shite.

If we had an elephant I would rather have him live rather than us winning a MNC. Killing Mike? That's just brutal.
