So he is trying to make it in the NFL. Why wouldn't he try to walk onto the football field at Ole Miss for a year. We are desperate for a TE and i think one year would be good for him or am i just stupid and his eligibility is all up? Not sure if you can play another sport after 4 years?

Interesting. Definitely wish the kid luck. He's got size, athleticism, and good hands so that's not a bad start. I'm assuming he played up through high school as well.

Neal wrote a piece about this on rebelgrove the other day .. Murph talks about several teams showing interest and wanting him to fly in for workouts.

No I wouldnt say I am "upset". Wouldve loved to see him play TE but oh well. I'll love it if he gets a shot in the league.
The Saints need to sign him as a FA and let him learn from JG. I would JIMP so hard.

I mean more upset at the fact that if he was good enough for the NFL he's definitely good enough to play for Ole Miss ... I just wish he could have played for us.
I love that he is getting this shot and could be our next Jeremy Parnell. (another roundball guy who should have played football for us)

It is real, he has worked out in the IPF for a few teams. Many scouts believe he can make it to a mini camp and have a small shot at a roster.
