I know he was a big time recruit but with the depth that yall have at RB coming back from last year how much would he really contribute?

Chances of a RS year were at best 5%.

He would have played. Yeldon and Drake are the only healthy backs on the roster right now. Hart and Fowler are coming off major knee injuries and Henry is a different type of back that would have found carries

I don't believe he would have redshirted. He was a EE and was getting a lot of reps in practices and scrimmages.

With his size and speed he would be deadly if he can tackle.

"a bigger Trent Richardson". Damn, that's scary.

Hate it for the kid...but he'll be back.

I absolutely do not feel one ounce of sympathy for Bama here.

How deep are your at Jack LB? Was he even expected to see the field this year? It was a matter of when and not if as to when this kid was moved to defense - this probably speeds that up.

Sorry guys, Henry is special. He will be in the two deep at RB in 13.
You don't run for 12,000 + yards and play D. 6-3. 240. A corner backs worst nightmare .

The kid acknowledged in his recruitment that he would be willing to look at other positions if Bama felt he would be better there. So in other words - Saban had already discussed playing defense if RB doesn't work out. That was Tennessee's main pitch when trying to land him - that he would 100% stay at RB while at UT and may not get that same opportunity at Bama.

Feel bad for the kid...world of talent...he is an upright runner...which I like to watch...but not many of those around anymore...back in the sixties there were a lotta upright runners. The Trent/Lacey/Ingram mold is better for long term health imho...but maybe this kid can overcome it.

He would make a great OLB type player...so keep him on offense please.
