That's why I keep a .357 in my truck..nobody better try to rob me because the penal system won't get a chance to take him to trial

With that mentality, the penal system will get their chance to take YOU to trial. Congrats.

Not in MS it won't. If I'm on my property or in my truck and someone threatens or tries to rob me I can shoot them dead no questions asked. All I have to do is say I felt like my life was in danger.
A friend of mine shot and killed a guy not too long ago who was trying to break in his NEIGHBORS house and he didn't even go to court over it.

I was mainly refering to this statement.
I know you're just trying to come off as an e-badass. Surely you're not stupid enough to go out and commit vigilante justice. But then again, maybe you are.

Used to support until I realized how fricked up the justice system is
Specifically in Mississippi...for further reading I'd suggest you google "Radley Balko Mississippi" and read his articles about the shitty evidence that convicted a ton of folks in MS

If some psycho murders one of my family, then absolutely. I don't know where you're from but where I'm from such things are usually justified..I remember a case in MS where a guy beat his daughters BF to death after the BF abused her to where she almost died...it was ruled justifiable homicide and he was let go.
There was also that case in LA where the guy's son was raped and the father shot him right by the police as the cops were escorting the guy out of the courtroom..he was was let off with only 5 yrs probation.

I don't agree with that mentality because then you are no better than the person you hate so strongly. A violent murderer

BIG difference between a wanton murderer and righteously justified retaliation IMO.

Support it?
Oppose it?
I'd oppose it in all instances if 'life' actually meant life. Since it doesn't, I don't have a problem with it.

I think they should make the deaths more painful for the really fricked up people.

'Life' sentences sometimes aren't carried out due to prison overcrowding, administrative snafu, or other reasons. A murderer should spend the rest of his life in jail...oft times this is not the case.

righteously justified according to who?
Hypothetically, let's say your daughter accused my son of raping her. In my mind, my son allegedly raped your daughter, but in your mind he actually did rape your daughter. So in an effort to enact some righteously justified retaliation, you go and murder my son. Which in turn causes me to carry out, in my mind, righteously justified retaliation by killing you. This is quite the conundrum we've created, amirite?
