Miles won a NC with saban talent. When y'all played vs Bama in the ship with all miles recruits you were all exposed.
Did you like when LSU exposed Alabama earlier that year? This isn't a Bama flame, just pointing out that you might need to get checked out.

this isn't about Okie State waterhead
Its about coaching ability
Mullen has exceeded expectations while Miles has undeachieved IMO with a TON of NFL talent year after year.
Since Okie State Miles has achieved as much as any coach in the nation not named Saban.
Mullen is still in his mediocre stage. If this list was done when Miles was at Okie St. I'd agree with you.
You are dumb.

This argument is so fricking stupid.
How? Miles was in year 2 or 3 at LSU when he won the title there. So ALL of the upper classmen aside from juco transfers (if there were any) were saban recruits.

Oh god...
You know how many contributors on that team played significant time with Saban? I'll let you look it up...

So Mullen is winning with Croom's talent?

1. Nick Saban
2. Steve Spurrier
3. Mark Richt
4. Kevin Sumlin
5. James Franklin
6. Dan Mullen
7. Les Miles
8. Bret Bielema
9. Hugh Freeze
10. Will Muschamp
11. Butch Jones
12. Gary Pinkel
13. Gus Malzahn
14. Mark Stoops
Saban is going to be a consensus #1. Considering his career body of work I understand putting Spurrier #2 so I won't argue that even though he's not really been exceptional at South Carolina overall.
But ranking Miles #7? They drop Miles to #7?
behind guys who have never won a NC (#s 3 thru 6)?
behind guys who never won the SEC (#s 4 thru 6)?
behind guys who never won their own division (#s 4 thru 6)?
This seems near impossible to defend. Miles has excelled in the hardest division in college football for eight years now... no matter what you think of his habit for malapropisms and eccentricity there's no justifying that level of disrespect with his results.

Saban went 9-4 with an embarrassing bowl loss in '04....Miles took that same team to the SEC championship and crushed Miami in the bowl game in '05

I'd rather Miles win with Saban's talent than Mullen lose with his own. #dakfense

It's an indefensibly awful list

In addition, in re Sumlin, Franklin, and Mullen, you forgot to mention that that group owns precisely 0 wins over Miles.

Agreed. Looks like they aren't too fond of Ole Miss either. Although, I guess you guys are glad they didn't rank Freeze 12 behind Dooley this year.

not really. I can see their argument. you LSU fans just get pissy whenever anyone doesn't put LSU first. it's what you do. Les hasn't won a meaningful game since 2007 and never has without Saban's players. you have to take that into consideration.

i can't believe i'm on here arguing about if Miles is better than Dan frickin' Mullen.

I understand the temptation to throw gasoline on the fire, but if you truly think that wins over Oregon, WVU, and a win in Atlanta aren't meaningful games, we'll just have to not discuss things with you, because frankly, that is an indefensibly stupid posture to take. It is my hope you are just flaming like usual.
