Dude OP is trying to have an actual discussion on the subject without trolling. Give it a fricking rest or get the frick out. You don't have to troll 24/7. People like you are the reason the Rant has turned into troll heaven and fricking sucks.

Edit: I RA'd that bullshite, hopefully someone else will too so a mod will see it.

Okay, a better response then...

I think that all conferences realize there's some shenanigans going on at a few of their better schools. It's the best for the conference in this current atmosphere to have great teams. It really does help the viewership, and it helps the conference overall when it comes time to negotiate TV contracts.

I think they pay them their full share and assume it was part of the way to do business, and in retrospect, the rise of viewers to the conference/money was worth it. Since that hasn't been brought up in a real current situation, we don't have anything to base our opinions on.

That being said, from what I've been told about the SEC (which is pretty much counter what I've seen from the rant), I think the conference would pay them.

That being said, I don't think the NCAA gives anything like the death penalty to a major school because the burden on the conference on a whole would be too large.

Same story as original, but more in depth.
