Serious question, why do you call him Coach Moore still? I could see if he was the HC, but not for an assistant

Because he was a coach?

People still call Frank, "Coach Broyles", he was a HC, but still.

I think "coach" is almost used as term of respect, Moore has been around long enough to earn the honor despite never being the HC.

This is not a serious question, it is a stupid question that only a freaking moron would ask. Why the hell do you care what Bama fans call Mal Moore? I am all for rivalries and flames back and forth, but stupid crap like this just pisses me off.

Because he served under Coach Bryant as an assistant coach and OC for 19 years. And later came back to serve under Coach Stallings as OC for 4 years. He coached at Alabama for 21 years not counting his time as a player, AD assistant, and AD.

He will always be called Coach Moore by the Alabama faithful.
