I am looking for some good fishing holes to maybe hit up in the evenings or on Sunday afternoons.
I am not looking for a huge arse lake, or a place where a boat is needed. I want to know where some places are where I can walk and maybe wade out and get a few casts and maybe grab a bass or something.

That doesn't sound like a fishing hole type I'm looking for.
Where I grew up I'd hit back road ponds and such. I looked on google earth and saw a pond behind the softball complex on Salem in west Fayetteville but no clue if there are any fish in it.

Kings River Falls
Great little spot I like to go to in the spring and summer. There's a good swimming hole at the base of the falls too.

I'm guessing that is a trout area? I'd prefer bass or crappy holes

Ah, well if you're not wanting to use a boat I would suggest War Eagle Creek off of Beaver.

Just wait a few more weeks when water temps are in the 50's and Crappie come to shore for prespawn. May even be in the 50's down there by now.
Hit up whatever good crappie lakes are near you and fish from the shore and docks near river channels with minnows.

Those spots are what I'm trying to locate. I don't want to trespass or anything.
I've lived here for a while now, but I've always done all of my fishing down at Greason, or south of there. Don't know any spots here I could walk to, or maybe wade out I the water a bit.

Can't help you with the spots, I fish Table Rock and Lake of the Ozarks and a few secret Kansas hotbeds.
Have enough crappie frozen to feed Kenya.
Beaver Lake, Bull Shoals, and Sequoyah should all have some decent crappie fishing right now.
Beaver Lake - Piney Creek, White River upstream from point 12, Monte-NE and Eden Bluff are reporting some great crappie fishing right now.

frick guys this thread is making me miss Arkansas like crazy. I can't wait till I can go back. NWA is so beautiful.

Have you done Gar Hole to the Mill? That is one of the greatest stretches for smallmouth around. I've caught several 20"+ fish out of that stretch.

I spent about 4 hours yesterday on the Baron Fork creek, didn't see a single good sized brownie, catfish, or even a perch. Water levels have been real low bigger fish may have been squeezed out to a few deeper spots and easier for the taking.

Right below beaver lake under the dam I caught some of the biggest catfish of my life. I also caught several good trout there over the summer.
Lake Fayetteville isn't a bad spot for a quick evening trip.

I had thought about Lake Fayetteville, but I am looking for a place where I'll be away from everything. When I'm fishing, all I can hear are birds, fish hitting the water on occasion and no sounds of cars, people, or any of that.
Back home as a kid, I'd go pond hopping. I guess there isn't much o that in NWA.

Most anything in white or chrome. I used a white roostertail and a small shad-rap to catch a stringer full of whites on the Maumelle river Friday when I was visiting in LR.
I dont know where to catch the whites up here yet but I have heard that war eagle is a good spot.
I normally walk Sugar Creek in Bella Vista and catch some decent smallies and goggle-eyes.
