I meant I'm not buying the "my ribs hurt" story. I'm not saying they weren't hurting because I have no doubt in my mind they were but did it take him until the 3rd quarter and most of the 4th to realize they were hurting? No one was saying how he hurt it was when it was 14-3.

I agree, probably non-factor. However, to be fair they say the cortisone shot wears off about the time of the 3rd quarter.

I think the ribs had some effect on his play. He injured them the week before against MSU. He was 10/22 (45%) for 93 yards on the night before entering that final drive. It's not like he had an awesome first half by any stretch of the imagination. It was statistically his worst game of the entire season.
