Clearly, it's not because it holds value and used a shite-ton on a daily basis in retail.

But, I'd prefer we didn't have them. In fact, I wish there was no change smaller than the quarter, because thats the only change I ever save(and generally just for future trips to the car wash).

Wow...thinking about it, I prolly use cash money 1 - 2 times a week max, always use debit card... damn...

Maybe. Getting rid of pennies and nickels seems about right to me. And get rid of quarters. Go metric.
