What happened in there. I was wanting to see what had been said after I yelled at Bundy for three pages yesterday.

We gonna be yelling at each other in Celebration when we go to Omaha this year after winning the Starkville Regional and Super Regional.

yeah I replied to your 1st post

While your numbers were technically correct- when looked at closer:

half the NCAA bids usually go to BCS conferences- which mean about 32 of 69-70 BCS team dance every year

The other half of the bids go to the other 275 schools in college basketball each year

So we cant really compare State to those other 275- we need to compare ourselves to all the BCS schools

True a lot of BCS conference schools get automatic bids, but the last few years in the SEC there have only been 2-3 at large bids and should be like that again this year with a possibility of only one at large bid.

So how does that relate to being in the Top X% of bball teams? If a team makes the tourney how would you compare that to success on the football field?

I still feel that making the tourney is like finishing in the Top 25 in football. What say y'all?

pretty similar to making a bowl game imo. Yes there aren't as many spots when you look at how many bcs schools there are, but we also are in a shitty conference.

It's not really the same, but i think it is about the same difficulty where we are.

Ol' Thomas, huh?

The sad thing is, he's probably a god on GenesPage.

I've never posted there. I use a friend's login info to check the bones when recruiting heats up.

well, it means that just like football, the BCS teams dominate the top. Football is more dominant and top heavy- but both sports are controlled by the power conferences

Every year the Sweet 16 is 67-75% power conferences- the Final Four is 90% over the years

Being a 13 seed that won the SEC Tourney in 2009 to get into the NCAA Tourney in no way equates to being a top 25 team.

I dont think there is any way to say a 10+ seed in the NCAA Tourney is a top 25 team as compared to football.

It was RA'd but I let it go. Another admin must have killed it.

You want it back?

BTW Coonsies, change your title so they won't come in and whack this one.
