I think that "presidents mansion" in that LSU picture is the same house General William T Sherman lived in while he was president of LSU.

I don't remember Sherman having anything to do with the Baton Rouge campus, from what I've read. The campus was at Pineville during his time.

I thought this was a cool picture. 1915 team vs unidentified opponent. I'm not sure, but I think the building in the background might be Carnall Hall?



Carnall Hall for comparison. If that's it in the picture, then it's from a side or back angle.

Great pics. A note of information. If some of those students in the pics from the 1800s look young, it's because in those days it was common for guys to enter college at 16. HS didn't go through 12th grade.
