Is Flip point shaving?

I don't think it can be dismissed out of hand.
I don't think he can be this bad accidentally. We've had point guards with far less talent perform at much higher levels.
I'd trade 3 Phil Presseys for 1 Zaire Taylor.

No way to point shaving. He wants to win and doesn't always trust the other players, unfortunately. When he plays at what he does best, he is incredible.
There were several plays that could have changed the outcome of game. Several missed easy lay ups come to mind.
I hate losing, but no embarrassment in Fayetteville.

No way here either. I don't know if it's that he doesn't trust his team mates either. I just think he has really low basketball IQ. When the pressure mounts, he stops thinking, puts his head down and plows ahead all on his own. He just doesn't even think. So I don't know if it's he doesn't trust them or he just forgets they're there.

2/9 from the field; 0/4 from 3; 2 assists and 4 turnovers. Unfortunately, not an atypical game.

Everyone knows Flip's mindset. Me against the other team. The announcer's said it over 12 times in the game.
Ross and Bell can do the job. Those are the two go to guards. HCFH needs to put Flip on the bench next time it is late in the game and we need a play. Flip cannot do it!!

I was saying the same exact thing when we had the 4 point lead. Told my brother I wish he'd take Pressey out. He's a good FT shooter so would like to have him in for those reasons but he just costs you too much at the end of tight games. All of a sudden his game changes light flipping a light switch.

Yes he is.
There is a reason Pressey was not given the ball at end of games last year. Now that Bell has emerged as the best player, expect pressey to start sitting the last 5 minutes of games......until bell gets called for a bunch of phantom fouls forcing pressey into the game. Even then, I think I'd put NWC in and tell everyone to pass the ball up the court and into the offense.

It's not just in losses. Pressey, late in the game, AGAIN did what he could to shite the game away. WTF kind of shot was that?

Agree.. I was saying that it looks like Pressey finally got the memo, he didn't even take a shot until late in the game, what an incredible difference; like night and day.
Then he takes that deep off balance 3 which made no sense, they should have run the clock down a bit there and tried for an easy 2. Insanely stupid.

In his defense, the shot clock was winding down. I also think Haith was wanting to go for the "kill-shot" and put us up by 2-possessions. The play was probably designed for Brown to get a 3. When he wasn't open, Phil took the shot. I'm not that upset about the shot. Wish we could've gotten a better look, but he created the separation to get the shot up and at least give us a chance at the offensive rebound.
All in all, Phil played a good, solid game. He still had a few wild passes last night. Hopefully he'll continue to clean that up.
