Auburn put on a good performance. Bri Guy won the all around.

Alabama won the team overall as stated above.
I wasn't aware that Auburn doesn't have a single member on its team from the state of Alabama until last night.

Sarah Patterson deserves one as much as anyone. The success she has had and over the time period she has been here. 30 + years now. She is the only coach remaining that Coach Bryant hired(in 1979 or 1980 I think). She has won 6 national championships. Why shouldn't she get one?

No Statue for Sarah Patterson

Instead, the Head Coach of two time defending NCAA Champions Alabama is getting an entire Plaza in the core of the Alabama Athletics Complex.

The University of Alabama Board of Trustees approved construction of a Champions Plaza to honor the achievements of the Crimson Tide athletics coaches and teams during its meeting Friday….

The plaza, which will be located between Coleman Coliseum and Sewell-Thomas Stadium, will be named after Sarah Patterson, head coach of Alabama’s six-time NCAA Champion gymnastics team. …

Patterson and her husband, David, are in the midst of their 34th year at Alabama. In addition to six national titles, the Pattersons have led the Tide to seven Southeastern Conference Championships and an NCAA-best 27 regional titles. They have also led Alabama to the NCAA Championships for the last 30 years in a row. …

There is a lot of speculation she will get one when they finish redoing the plaza.

As far as the score goes, it seems like both teams did alright/well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure half of the score is predetermined based on the difficulty of the routines they hand in ahead of time and the rest is based on the execution. This explains why McKayla Moroney got the silver at the Olympics despite falling twice.

The plaza, which would be located next to Sewell-Thomas Stadium, will provide recognition for the university's athletic programs and also feature tiered seating for 600 next to the stadium. It is expected to be ready by Spring 2013.

The "Champions Plaza" area will consist of brick and precision concrete walls and include commemorative engravings that highlight each team's history, including national and SEC championships. A coaches' recognition wall with plaques to honor coaches who have won national championships will be one of the main attractions.
