I think the biggest flaw in this class was the fact that CMR and co. couldn't lock down players in their own state. They did make up for it (a little) by recuriting other states, but C'Mon man... you gotta keep the Georgia boys at home.

Why is it that people always lay blame at the coach for keeping kids -and yes they are kids - in state? First and foremost, some kids may not like UGA. Do you really think you can force a kid to go somewhere they don't want? Quit laying the blame on the coach and put it squarely where it belongs...on the kids.

Its a sales job. The difference between Athens and Tuscaloosa (beyond the bars) is about 30 years of maintenance. The difference between Bama and UGA is the man making the sales pitch. Before Saban got there, kids weren't committing in droves to Bama like they have been the past few years.
Granted Bama is in the midst of an unprecedented dynasty in college football and that legacy may be very enticing to kids, but given the respective depth charts of each program, no way should Kamara be seriously considering Bama over us. We're on the outside looking in to a program with eight other running backs, 3 in this class?

Granted Richt can't help the fact that Ole Miss offered Tunsil's entire family. But some of the blame belongs with Richt.
